The History of Hogarths Stone Manor

Hogarths Stone Manor in Worcestershire, nestled in the heart of the English countryside, is steeped in rich history. The venue is a quintessentially English country house built from Cotswold stone in the early 20th century, with roots reaching further back to the pre-Norman era. Initially just a Norman and later a Tudor dwelling, the property in the 17th century belonged to King Henry VIII, one of England’s most legendary monarchs. It was only in the early 20th century that the Stone Manor, as we know it today, was erected by James Archibald Cochrane, the Director of Cochrane & Co. Ltd of Dudley. Then this dramatic structure provided a striking contrast to the rustic surrounds, just as it does today. The Stone Manor was transformed into a hotel in the late 1960s, eventually being acquired by Hogarths Hotels in 2015. Under their stewardship, the property underwent extensive restorations, modernizing facilities while preserving the historic allure. This has honed the venue into an elite wedding destination, providing a blend of history and luxury, intertwined with the natural beauty of the Worcestershire countryside. Noteworthy among its wedding facilities are its traditionally styled rooms, romantically secluded spots and lush gardens, perfect for stunning photographs. Hogarths Stone Manor has crafted a reputation of elegance, luxury, and timeless English charm, offering a niche venue for weddings in the heart of England.
