Lyde Court Wedding photography fun!

I met Lucy and Jack through a recommendation from a previous wedding (thanks Jody!) They was such a fun couple and we hit it off straight away! I couldn’t wait to be a part of their big day and be their Lyde Court Wedding Photographer!

Previous to their big day, we had an engagement shoot in Worcester Town Centre. It was a packed out Saturday but we did not let that stop us! We spent some time in the street and look for some really creative photography engagement shoot ideas and had a lot of fun.

We then went to Worcester Cathedral and took some photos there. It is such a beautiful backdrop and a stunning building. The river area was quiet so we spent some time taking some nice shots of the two of them on their own. After doing the shoot and being involved in the Worcester engagement photography shoot I knew that their Lyde court wedding was going to be fantastic and I just couldn’t wait.

Here are a few shots from the engagement shoot.

Herefordshire Wedding photography – Lyde Court wedding

It was my first time shooting a Lyde court wedding, and I had heard such amazing things about it from my wedding photography friends. I was really excited, especially because we were using the outside area for the ceremony, which is just beautiful. The weather was great but it was quite windy but we did not let that stop us and we spent a lot of time walking the grounds of Lyde court. We even managed to do some shots of Lucy and Jack in their wellington boots, a shot Lucy was so eager to get!

If you are interested in Lyde Court as a wedding venue, I can highly recommend it to you! Here are a few words from their website you can visit here – Lyde Court

‘The rustic barns at Lyde Court have undergone minimal changes in 400 years and therefore remain unspoilt and very beautiful. Stone walls, vaulted ceilings, elm beams, and arrow-slit windows create an atmospheric awe-inspiring setting to get married. Add in candles, fairy lights and mismatched vintage furniture, the barn wedding venue becomes the perfect setting for your wedding.

Surrounded by nature you will enjoy the sounds of birds singing, sheep and cows in the surrounding fields. There are ample photographic locations at our timeless wedding venue such as the long pampas grass and the vintage cinema seating. The cornfields provide an idyllic backdrop for a sunset couples photo during golden-hour. The possibilities are endless once you start exploring! Our barn wedding venue is quirky, full of magic and excitement, so come and explore!’

I agree with every word!!

Lyde court is such a beautifully designed wedding venue. They have thought of everything and not missed any details! The barn where they had their reception was lit up with candles, fairy lights on the dance floor and of course a Christmas tree 🙂 As it was a winter wedding. They have really designed this to perfection. I just didn’t want to leave!

As we lost the daylight quite quickly, we spent a lot of time inside.  The Barn was just full of areas to photograph and I really did not struggle to take shots! From the wedding breakfast, to the speeches to the first dance, I enjoyed every moment photographing this wedding. It was a real pleasure to have played my part!

To top it all off, Lyde court had prepared an outside area where Lucy and Jack had a log fire blazing. This was brilliant and I had to take Lucy and Jack outside as one of the last shots of the day just have them sit there and chat why I took a photo of them by the fire.

I had so much fun photographing this wedding, and thanks again Lucy and Jack for hiring me to be your Lyde Court Wedding photographer! I had a blast! Here are some mages from the day.
